St. Martin/Maarten is 5 miles south of Anguilla and although more developed, is actually smaller! The drawing above shows your route from the airport to the waiting Link ferry docked on Simpson Lagoon. Click the drawing for a full map of St. Maarten that shows the relative positions of the airport and the lagoon.
The route of the Link is due north out of the lagoon, past French Marigot, and over to Anguilla. The Link makes this trip once a day from Blowing Point, dropping off people who have flights to catch and meeting arriving airport passengers who have made reservations in advance.
When you exit from customs and immigration, you will be on a sidewalk with waiting taxis. There will be a large parking lot in front of you (see the star on the map).
As you can see from this picture, the airport building is very close to the airport. The up-and-down yellow roof is the airport. Only a short walk away.
To get from the airport to the dock, you head out into the airport parking lot, then cross the street at the small "Car Rental" building pictured below.
This is your Car Rental landmark. Notice the "Link Ferry" sign next to it pointing toward the water!
You follow the path into and past a bar on the left (notice the old "Port de Plaisance Embarkation" sign, although this St. Maarten resort is still closed since Hurricane Luis.
The bar is shady and gives you an opportunity to get a cool drink. If you expect to need help with your bags, be sure to ask the Link-Ferry staff for assistance.
Your path continues past a restaurant on the right and on to the waterfront. Although we have shown several pictures, this is actually only a few steps from the road crossing.
Your first view of the dock on the left.

The last passengers board and hand over their luggage.
You need to make a reservation by email or phone for this pickup service, so that we make sure we haven't left anyone behind. Flights into St. Maarten are sometimes late.
The Link pulls away from the dock ...
... speeds toward Anguilla.
And here you are, 20 minutes later, landed in Anguilla, escaped from the hustle and noise of St. Maarten, ready to relax and enjoy your visit!
